Studying in the Charleroi Metropolitan Area
A hybrid campus, the only one of its kind in Belgium, is being developed right in the heart of the Charleroi Metropolitan Area.
A flagship area of activity in the field of higher and university education, training, scientific research, the dissemination of scientific culture and raising awareness of scientific and technical careers is taking shape in the north of the city.
The campus will be home to a wide range of operators aimed at many different audiences but all with the same goal: to promote lifelong learning.
Work is currently underway on the premises which is set to include:
- CampusUCharleroi, or the “Zénobe Gramme” university hub;
- A design & innovation skills centre;
- A centre of excellence in energy efficiency and sustainable development
- A Cité des Métiers (career resource centre);
- UCLouvain and HELHA….but also restaurants, a library, cultural events…
